CSRA Will Become Primary Integrator for Managing 3+ Million Cybersecurity Endpoints for DISA and DoD
FALLS CHURCH, VA – The U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded a $163 million task order to SRA International Inc., a subsidiary of CSRA Inc. (NYSE:CSRA). The award directs CSRA to support DISA’s Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) Integrator Support effort under the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Alliant Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).
CSRA will work with Microsoft and McAfee to enhance DISA’s ESS capabilities and cyber strategy. Microsoft Consulting Services will provide subject matter assistance in the evaluation of the current state of cyber protection in order for DISA to engineer effective, scalable, and resource-conscious security solutions that address DISA’s requirements. CSRA, Microsoft, McAfee, and DISA will also envision, plan, and deliver hardening and containment solutions for the Microsoft technologies across the DoD enterprise. This will use Microsoft cybersecurity solutions to protect DoD from internal and external threat actors.
The task order contains a one-year base period that will run through October 31, 2018, followed by four one-year options. Under the task order, CSRA will provide DoD with system engineering and technical support necessary to strengthen the security postures and technical capability for the DoD endpoints.

Endpoint Security Solutions are the first, and ultimately the last, line of defense for DoD cybersecurity personnel. Through this task order, CSRA will also enable the DoD Information Network (DoDIN) to remain operable while deterring or neutralizing cyber-attacks. This operation is made possible through global endpoint security across DISA; DoD; USCYBERCOM; Combatant Commands, Services, Agencies and Field Activities (CC/S/As); and the broader technology community.
Through CSRA’s support, DISA will achieve:
- Closure of End Point Security capability gaps
- Protection against both insider and external threats
- Agility to respond to and minimize impact from emerging threats
- Interoperability across DoD Enterprise and integration with the rest of the DoD security architecture
- Effective, operationally-focused training with responsive help desk support
- Shortened implementation timelines through process improvements and best practices
This task order expands CSRA’s growing partnership with DISA. In June, CSRA was awarded a major $498 million contract to support milCloud® 2.0 Phase 1.
